Key Responsibilities as a Dishwasher Lead for dnata Catering, your primary responsibility is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment. You will work closely with the kitchen staff to efficiently clean and organize the kitchen area, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Your role will involve operating commercial dishwashing machines, properly handling, and storing clean dishes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Your attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace will contribute to the overall success and reputation of dnata Catering.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established rules of entry to building and work areas, properly attired and in compliance with HACCP guidelines for personal hygiene and observe security precautions as mandated by management.
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans by hand that come from all kitchens and VIP presentations.
  • Load all incoming soiled chinaware, trays, glasses, silverware into the dishwashing machine in the dish room.
  • Ensure that the dishwashing machine is operating at a proper temperature and has detergent and necessary chemicals for proper operation.
  • Unload machine and place cleaned items in appropriate racks or storage containers in proper storage areas.
  • Sanitize all trolleys, carriers’ oven racks, and drawers and deliver to the proper area for storage.
  • Clean and sanitize all interior areas within the facility and external property.
  • Handle the disposal of all waste products. International trash and garbage to be disposed of according to regulations.
  • Ensure that spills are promptly mopped up, and floors are kept dry and decreased to minimize slips and falls due to wet floor.
  • Use proper detergents and degreasing solvents to maintain a safe working environment for all production areas and maintain use and adequate storage for sanitation chemicals and equipment.
  • Sanitize all restrooms and areas of everyday personnel traffic, including walls and floors.
  • Empty and clean refuse containers and dispose of refuse in proper bins for later removal.

 

The salary for this position is $25.46 hourly with weekly pay, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.

Qualifications

EDUCATION: Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED with 2+ years’ experience in cleaning/ housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial experience

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous dishwashing experience.
  • Excellent attention to detail and self-organized
  • Ability to deal with a heavy workload.
  • Flexibility (different shifts - night, weekends, holidays).
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks.

 

Intellectual/Social demands:

While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits.  Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. This position also requires constant attendance and punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time. Follows instructions, responds to management direction; Takes responsibility for own actions; Completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works quickly.

 

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds. Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Use equipment and materials properly.

 

Work environment:

The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud.
